Bio

Vince Sanchez-Sambrano is a Los Angeles-based Production Designer, Art Director, Producer, and Writer specializing in film, television, and branded content.

Originally from Venezuela, Vince began his artistic journey at the prestigious Arturo Michelena Art Academy before spending over eight years in the theater industry. As a lead actor in both classical and contemporary productions—including Hamlet, Romeo and Juliet, and La Casa de Bernarda Alba—he developed a deep, foundational understanding of narrative and performance. This naturally evolved into a passion for world-building, leading him to transition behind the scenes as a set designer, costume designer, and assistant director.

Today, Vince is an accomplished visual storyteller and a member of the Art Directors Guild (ADG, IATSE Local 800), the Television Academy, and the Venezuelan Film Academy. His extensive design and production credits include AJR’s award-winning music video Way Less Sad, the Disney+ series 4Ever, and the 2024 reinterpretation of Rebel Without a Cause (now streaming on Max). Notably, he served as the Production Designer and Associate Producer for The Shadow of the Sun (La Sombra del Sol), Venezuela’s official entry for the Best International Feature Film category at the 96th Academy Awards.

A champion for equity and community, Vince leverages his perspective as an immigrant and LGBTQ+ filmmaker to lift up underrepresented voices. He frequently collaborates with the Youth Cinema Project (YCP), having served as Art Director for their Amazon-backed short film and as a guest speaker hosting Production Design workshops for the 2025 cohort. Additionally, he has designed and produced multiple films for the LALIFF Inclusion Fellowship and serves as the Director of Programming and Event Manager for the Dumbo Film Festival in New York City.

Vince’s recent 2026 projects highlight his versatility across genres, including the feature documentary Stealing Magic (produced by Oscar-winners Melanie Miller and Diane Becker), which premiered at the Tribeca Festival, and the short film My Father’s Son, which debuted at the Cannes Marché du Film's Fantastic Pavilion.
